The most important and the difficult task has been the management of Grievances to the satisfaction of the people. The biggest bottleneck to respond and redress the grievances of the subjects is being its vast volume and manual processes for the same. Now-a-day people have started viewing the government set up like any other service provider or facilitator, demanding for quick redressals. Grievance Monitoring System is a step towards meeting these expectations.


Existing System
At Municipal Corporation, the complaints from citizens are received through various modes such as IVRS, Letters, Email and Newspapers. Such complaints are then forwarded to the concerned authority for redressal. This existing system should be enhanced in various aspects, which will be the objective of the proposed system. At Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, the correspondence is through letters from citizens are received through Letters. Such letters are then forwarded to the concerned authority for taking necessary action. This existing system should be enhanced in various aspects, which will be the objective of the proposed system.

About Grievance Monitoring System (GMS)
“Grievance Monitoring System” is a complete Grievances Redressal System, which processes the different complaints received from the citizen, generates acknowledgement if necessary, forwards the complaint to respective department/authorities for further action, prepares various types of reports needed by authorities.

The system has a provision wherein the operator punches in all the details of the applicant whenever he receives a complaint. Also provision is provided for recording mode by which complaint is received. The complaint is automatically forwarded to the respective authority that can verify the complaint as well as the various documents that are attached in support to the complaint. The authority may ask for report or remarks from other related persons before taking the redressal action. Once the necessary action is taken on the complaint, it can be disposed off and a note may be send to the complainant stating details off action taken.
